The two sides were locked in a war which, for grimalkin, meant an endless parade of usually harmless, often elaborate, and occasionally cruel pranks. As the war dragged on from decades to millennia, denizens of the Shadowfell and the Feywild conspired with one another for a way to be rid of these nuisances for good. Eventually an agreement was struck and the grimalkin were driven from the Shadowfell and the Feywild and a curse was laid over their race that only so many could gather in each of those realms at a time. Although annoyed at having to endure the consequences of forced relocation, the grimalkin were quite pleased with the dramatic extent of the reaction their warring had elicited in others.

The Spiritual Huckster: A Warlock Patron

Have you run out of luck with the Archfey? Don't feel like taking a trip to Avernus with the Fiends? Are you weirded out by the Great Old Ones? Then perhaps you'd consider taking the "poor sinner's hand" of a Spiritual Huckster patron, and step into the role of a warlock who interprets the stars above (not really) to lie, cheat, and steal their way to the top. There's no need to feel guilty about reading the cards or consulting the tea leaves to your favor; as P.T. Barnum once famously said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

The Rules Of Cool Characters by Ashley May for You May Try
The Rules Of Cool Characters

This document won't provide you with a Potion of Cool, because that would only turn out to be be a Tryhard Tincture. What this document does provide is advice on how to portray characters who are cool. It's not just about dark cloaks and mysterious histories and walking away from explosions (though it certainly can involve those things)... Being cool is a complex balance of nonchalance, cool heads, and confidence, without coming off as apathetic or overly distant. This guide can help you master that balancing act, and portray characters that are unmistakably cool.

Amarune's Adventures: Terror in the Ice by Andrew Bishkinskyi and Amarune's Almanac Team for Vorpal Dice Press
Amarune's Adventures: Terror in the Ice

The Faraway Explorers are a company of treasure hunters currently operating out of the city of Luskan. They have recently discovered the ruins of an ancient fortress of the giants called Knorlfesting, located on an uncharted island in the Sea of Moving Ice. During a successful expedition to explore the ruins, so many artifacts of historical significance and value were discovered that they could not fit on the expedition ship to bring back. Upon returning to Luskan, a second expedition was quickly mounted to pick up the remaining artifacts. In addition to the Erebos—the company’s own ship—a former pirate ship called the Terror of Ten Towns was leased and retrofitted for the icebound journey. Along with a sailing crew and the members of the exploration company, a number of adventurers were hired on to assist the expedition. An uneventful outbound journey allowed for the safe loading of the remaining artifacts into the ships’ cargo holds and the two ships set out on the return journey across the Sea of Moving Ice.
